March 9-13…Media Restaurant Week!

Check out the first Media Restaurant Week! Taking place Sunday, March 9, through Thursday, March 13, enjoy three- to five-course dinners at participating restaurants for just $30! Whether you’re in the mood for classic American fare, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, farm-to-table, and so much more, Media restaurants have got you covered. March 11…Spring Food Swap!
Oakmont Farmers Market is holding their Spring Food Swap on Tuesday, March 11 from 7-9 p.m. at the Haverford Township Free Library Community Room, 1601 Darby Road, Havertown. A food swap is part silent auction/part village marketplace where your homegrown, homemade or foraged creations become your own personal currency for use in swapping with other participants. March 18…Getting Garden-Ready!

Join Master Gardener Candidate Linda Coulston (and a founding member of Media Farmers Market!), Tuesday, March 18, when she presents Getting Your Garden Ready for Planting. Just the thing to get you spring-thinking! She will have books, handouts, references, soil test kits and an interactive project. It all takes place at the Ludington Library, 5 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr. The program is sponsored by GMO Free PA, and will run about one hour.

April 4-5…Media Film Festival!

Media Arts Council is getting its line-up ready for the 7th Annual Media Film Festival. This year, they’re aiming to feature the event at the Media Theatre. Click on this link to find out how you can help make that happen!


Volunteer Opportunities!
If you’re interested in being part of the workings of Media Farmers Market, we’d love to have you! Specific needs:
Education Committee: exploring ways to expand educational opportunities at the Market for both children and adults.
5th Anniversary Celebration Committee: overseeing special events, entertainment, and demos for the coming year.
Other: We welcome all volunteers!
