Plum Pit Food Truck!

Plum-Caterers-logo-10.21.15
Plum Caterers is joining Media Farmers Market for the last five weeks of the season with their Plum Pit Food Truck! This kitchen on wheels specializes in “modern world cuisine.” Pork, chicken, turkey. Sandwiches, rice bowls, tacos. Fries, mac and cheese, empanadas. Line up at the food truck for eats while you shop, or for a ready-made dinner!

Sweet Salvation Truffles!

Sweet Salvation Truffles by Cheryl Ames is a sweet favorite at Media Farmers Market. Cheryl was inspired as a young girl to re-create chocolate-covered cherries for herself when her grandmother, protective of her own Christmas gift of chocolate-covered cherries, was not sharing! Cheryl has been creating chocolate treats ever since. Her decadent selection of truffles include fleur de sel, hazelnut praline, milk chocolate lemon…and pumpkin for the season! She also has chocolate bars: dark chocolate and milk chocolate with cocoa nibs, and yumberry bars! And a recent addition: Lady Rose hearts, filled with Lady Rose tea…and toffee!

Produce This Week

You’ll find green beans, onions, leeks, winter squash, sweet and regular potatoes, beets, radishes, herbs, cauliflower and broccoli, and fall greens, plus each vendor’s own specialties. (note: items will vary due to frost this past week)

Solarize Your Home!

What if you could get solar panels installed on your roof for less money and less hassle? What if someone else did all the research and found the best installers, got them to provide bulk discounts, talked to the banks for great deals on financing, worked with local governments to streamline the permitting? Well, that’s exactly what Solarize Greater Media has done to make it as easy and affordable as possible to get solar for your home! Learn all about it on Saturday, October 24, 2 to 4 p.m. at Media Providence Friends School. Transition Town Media is partnering with the DVRPC (Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission) and the Delaware County Planning Department to bring this residential solar program to the Media area. Check out all the details here, or contact Transition Town Media at info@transitiontownmedia.org.
