What’s on Your Plate?

“What’s on Your Plate?” is a new documentary that follows two eleven year old girls, Sadie and Safiyah (pictured left), as they take a close look at food systems in New York City and surrounding areas. As the film’s website describes, “the girls talk to each other, food activists, farmers, new friends, storekeepers, their families, and the viewer, in their quest to understand what’s on all our plates.”

You can watch this film for FREE on Tuesday, July 27th at 7 PM at the Media Community Center.  The screening is being sponsored by Transition Town Media. So bring the whole family and get to know other Media Farmers Market and local food enthusiasts.
