Market Vendors In The News

We already knew that our vendors are the best around. But it seems that our secret is getting out. Two of our vendors have recently been featured in articles:

Brandywine Valley Bread
Brandywine Valley Bread was recently featured on the PAEats blog. Brandwine Valley Bread recently opened their brick and mortar store, and PAEats highlights their journey to this accomplishment. Click here to read the full article.

Aurora Grace Chocolates
Aurora Grace Chocolates was profiled by The Inquirer at the beginning of the month. Also just having opened a storefront, Aurora Grace began on Etsy, and now sells their amazing hand painted chocolates and more in multiple outlets. Click here to read the full article. (Photo credit: Heather Kalifa, Staff Photographer, The Inquirer)

Resolve to Make More Homemade

It’s been shown that cooking more meals at home has many benefits. Home cooked meals tend to have healthier ingredients and leads to consuming less calories. Cooking at home is also cheaper, and can be a great bonding experience when people share the work. Don’t know what to do with an item? Ask the experts! Our vendors know best how to use their products, and you may discover your new favorite dish!

Market Cancelled, Stay Safe and Warm!

CANCELLED – Sunday, Jan 20

There will NOT be a Market tomorrow, Sunday, January 20. Safety concerns in the face of this weekend’s forecast were the driving factor in making the decision to cancel this week’s Market.  With the forecasted winds and the sudden drop in temperatures making any wet surfaces icy, we chose to keep our customers and vendors safe. We appreciate everybody’s understanding and hope you will join us at our next Market on Sunday, February 3. Stay safe and warm this weekend!

Winter Market Continues Thru April

The Winter Market will continue through April 7 on the first and third Sundays of each month from 10 to 12, rain, shine, or snow! In the event of dangerous or severe weather, please check our Facebook and Instagram pages for emergency closing information. The Market will be located on Edgemont Street between Front and State Streets. We will still accept SNAP, please stop by the Manager’s Table to use these benefits.

Neil’s Sharpening is Back

Don’t forget, Neil’s Sharpening Service is scheduled to be at the Market every third Sunday! A sharp kitchen knife making preparing home cooked meals easier. Also bring out those garden tools as you maintain your yard in preparation for the warmer months. Need a haircut? Bring those clipper blades too! Everything sharpened while you shop the Market!

Resolve to Eat Less Processed

The Media Farmers Market is a great resource for all of your New Years nutritional goals! Trying to eat less processed food this year? Then shop at the Market. Our vendors source only the freshest ingredients, most grown locally. All foods are prepared in their own local kitchens with minimal processing. Come check out all of our fresh breads, heat-and-eat foods, and more!
