Introducing our Winter Market

Are you already going through Media Farmers Market withdrawal? Then never fear, we’ll be back this weekendfor our very first Winter Market! Beginning this Sunday, Dec 2, the Media Farmers Market will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on the first and third Sundays of each month from December through April. We will still have a fantastic vendor lineup with many of our regular vendors returning, and maybe even adding some new ones! We will still be located on Edgemont Street, and vendors will be on the State Street end of the street, though the whole street will still be closed.

Shop the Holiday Market

Make sure you stop by the Market on Sunday, December 16 for our Holiday Market! We’ll have all of our regular vendors, plus vendors featuring locally made specialty wares and gifts perfect for the holiday gift-giving season. Stay tuned for a complete vendor listing.

We’re spooning over these utensils! 🍴

We’re spooning over these spoons

It all started the day he forgot to put a spoon in his lunch bag. Jonathan was working as an apprentice to a furniture maker at the time, and took a scrap piece of wood and made his own spoon. Later on after being laid off from his job, he remembered spoons and began making and selling them. Made from local Pennsylvania cherry wood, Jonathan never uses chemicals, polyurethanes, plastics, or polymers. They creatively sand the spoons, always considering how they will work while cooking or serving. His utensils have a unique sense of balance and warmth because they are designed with the hand and purpose in mind. “Spoons” have also become spatulas, tongs, spaghetti forks, spreaders, and more. Check out Jonathan and his beautiful spoons this week at the Market!

Fall Apple Season Has Arrived

Apple season is in high gear, so make sure you stop by Sharrah Orchards for a wide variety of local apples and homemade apple products like apple butter, apple sauce, and apple cider. Sharrah also has a variety of pears and even potatoes! Make sure you stop at their tent at the Front Street end of the Market!
