Don’t Mill About, Get Your Bread

Check this out, Brandywine Valley Bread now has their very own mill! This means that not only do they make all the breads, bagels, pastries, and focaccias you love, now they mill the flour in-house! Their wheat comes from Small Valley Mill in Halifax, Pa and is the same wheat Brandywine has always used, now its just milled in-house in Downingtown. Stop by early this Sunday for the best selection, sell outs are not unusual!

You already love the variety of local, fresh fruits and vegetables available at Sharrah Orchards. But did you know they have a new variety of apples, EverCrisp! This variety is still farily new to the Pennsylvania orchards, and it’s big crunch is sure to be a hit. Think of it as a combination of HoneyCrisp and Fuji apples, then come try it for yourself! For the curious, find out more about the EverCrisp apple here.

Bee Our Guest this week at the Market! 🐝🐝

Bee Our Guest at the Market

Meet our newest vendor, Bee Our Guest Wraps! After taking a honeymoon in Australia and completing a plastic free honeymoon challenge, Bee Our Guest knew they wanted to continue to be as plastic free as they could at home as well. They created Bee Our Guest and began making beeswax wraps. With proper care a single beeswax food wrap will last a year or longer. Beeswax is also naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-fungal. The wraps naturally stick to the outer peel or skin of fruit and vegetables and to glass and dishware to make the perfect reusable covers.
